Terms and Conditions of Sale

- All sales are
for cash, check, or credit/debit card at the time of purchase unless purchase orders
from schools or libraries are used or credit terms are arranged in advance of the purchase.
- Sales taxes are applied to all purchases, unless a California Resale Certificate is provided.
- All claims for
shortages or damage must be made within 5 days from receipt of merchandise
and be accompanied by a copy of the invoice,
packing list and, if applicable, the delivery receipt.
- All returns require prior
written authorization and must be returned in original condition.
- A 10% restocking fee
will be charged on all returned merchandise unless an agreement is made in writing prior
to purchase.
- Any order held for pick-up
will be re-shelved after 15 days and a 10% restocking fee charged to customer.
- Actual freight
charges are applied to shipments for merchandise under $1,000; beyda pays 50% of freight
charges on sales between $1,000 and $5,000 and 100% on sales over $5,000.
- Payment of invoices under credit terms is due in full within 30 days of the invoice date; a late payment fee of 1.5% per month (18.0% APR) will be charged on any balance due beyond the 30 day term.
- Credit/debit card
payments for merchandise and other charges will be subject to a fee based upon card type; fee
will be added on the credit card receipt.
- In any action or proceedings
arising out of this agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable
fees and costs.
